上一次的英文文法教學中，已經介紹過時間介系詞的基礎觀念，今天我們就接著介紹第二部份---地方介系詞吧！
相較於形容抽象的時間觀念，地方介系詞就顯得腳踏實地許多。因為它是用來描述我們眼睛看得見、伸手可及的物品的具體位置時使用。因此通常在英文課堂中，教授地方介系詞這一個文法時，只要使用幾個實物來講解，就可以清楚明瞭地讓同學了解各個介系詞的使用時機和代表意義。這裡我們就用大家手邊可以輕易取得的紙箱來說明，你也可以一起動手試看看喔！

接著我們就用幾個生活中常用的紙箱相關例句，來試試你是否了解他們的意義吧！
1. There is a fly that keeps flying above the carton! So annoying!
有隻蒼蠅一直在紙箱的上方飛來飛去的！煩死了！
2. Make sure you stick enough stamps on the carton. Otherwise, the post office may not accept your delivery.
記得確認你在紙箱上貼足夠郵資的郵票，不然郵局可能會拒絕受理你的寄送喔！
3. Where are my scissors? Oh! They are at the back of the carton the whole time.
我的剪刀去哪啦？噢！原來它一直在箱子的後面呀！
4. The tape dropped on the floor and fell in front of the carton.
膠帶掉到地上後落在箱子的前面了。
5. Now just wrap the ribbon around the carton and tie a bow on it.
現在只要將緞帶繞紙箱一圈，然後打個蝴蝶結在上面。
6. To pack the Christmas present, the first step is to spread the wrapping paper under the box, then ….
包裝聖誕禮物的第一步，就是將包裝紙平整地鋪在箱子的下方，然後…。

7. Did you open the box? There's nothing left inside.
你把那個箱子打開了嗎？裡面什麼也不剩了。
8. I opened the box and took everything out of the box. I put most of the things away but left yours untouched outside the box.
我開了箱子然後把所有的東西都拿出來了。我收拾了大部分的物品，但你的我原封不動的放在箱子外面了。
9. Don't sit between the two piles of cartons. It could be dangerous if anything falls on your head.
不要坐在兩堆箱子的中間，若是有東西掉到你頭上就危險了。
10. Her cat jumped into the carton and refused to leave. It seems that the cat favors the carton more than the toy.
她的貓跳進紙箱裡且拒絕離開。看起來那隻貓喜歡紙箱多過於那個玩具。
11. I put my box beside yours. Don't worry, I wrote my name on it and it won't be mistaken.
我把我的箱子放在你的箱子旁邊。別擔心，我在上面寫了名字，不會混淆的。
12. Sorry about the mess. We need to move everything in two days. You may go across those cartons and come to me.
不好意思這裡一團亂，因為我們得在兩天內把所有東西都搬走。你可以跨過那堆紙箱到我這邊來。
